Cayuga white grapes and Chambourcin red grapes are grown on five acres at Fragrant Farms. Each year, the graceful vines are hand-pruned in February and March preparing them for the blooming cycle in May. By mid-summer, luscious green and purplish-red grapes glisten like glass marbles, ripening in the sun while they internally reach just the right sugar content for harvest in late August or early September.

The grapes are then sold to local vintners such as Kauffman Winery in Mt. Vernon, Indiana, just a 30 minute drive from Historic New Harmony.
